Clergy:
Our Parish Priest, Fr.
Jan Szweda and Associate Priests, Fr.
Nicholas Aazine & Fr. Michael Nguyen are from the
Society
of the Divine Word (SVD), also known as
the Divine Word Missionaries. Brother
Jay Too, SVD, is the Chaplain to the
Aboriginal Communities. Several other
religious orders of Brothers and Sisters are
also represented:
the
Marist Brothers,
the
Franciscan Missionaries of Mary, the
Good Samaritan Sisters, the
Little Sisters
of Jesus, the
Loreto Sisters, the
Missionaries of Charity and Our Lady of the

About our
Parishioners:
We're a very
multicultural mix of several nations and
ethnic backgrounds: the Aboriginal
traditional owners (the Arrente) in this part of
Central Australia as well as other
Australian, American, Filipino,
African, Indian, Fijian & South
Pacific groups are a large part of the
congregation with many cultures and
countries represented amongst the
Parishioners. A big highlight of this
past calendar year has been our
Multi-cultural Masses (held on the the 4th
Sunday of the month at the 9:30am Mass) - each of the groups
above have taken turns organizing the 9:30
Mass celebrations to give everyone a feel
for how Catholicism is celebrated in the
individual cultures and countries.
After the Mass, lots of fellowship continued
as we shared food dishes from our various
cultures...
